Welcome!

Group of Elementary Pupils In Classroom Working With TeacherWelcome to the website for our video series, “What The Best North Carolina Teachers Do.” This project was influenced by the book, “What the Best College Teachers Do,” by Ken Bain (2004). For the video series, we traveled to schools all across the state of North Carolina to ask award-winning teachers a series of questions about what makes them so successful in the classroom. Each teacher in this series has been chosen as a district, regional or state teacher of the year in North Carolina.

The goal of this project is simple. We want to share with educators the insights, skills and advice from our state’s best teachers with the hope of helping them gain insight and inspiration for their own teaching. We hope you will find the interviews informative and beneficial in your schools and classrooms. New content will be added as we continue to complete more interviews, so be sure to visit this page often.

Click here or on the “Interviews” tab above to see the interviews with some of North Carolina’s best teachers!
