Below are some scenarios involving teachers’ work relating to Standard 1. Decide which rating would be most appropriate based on each scenario, then drag each scenario into the appropriate column. Mrs. Anderson loves to share her ideas in PLC meetings. She is the first one to give suggestions or feedback to the School Improvement Team. She works with her colleagues to analyze data and make instructional decisions.
Mr. Blackburn organizes events and programs at his school and encourages parents to participate in school activities. He communicates with parents much more than what is required. He actively seeks solutions to challenges students must overcome.
Mrs. Witherspoon leads professional development in her school. She models professionalism with a positive attitude and strong work ethic. She recently established a walk-through process so teachers could share their best practices.
